The Supreme Body of the AUC is National Council of the Association of Ukrainian Cities. National Council has regular annual meeting. The Board of the Association makes the decision as to the date of the meeting. National Council: • confirms the Statute of the AUC and brings necessary amendments to it; • defines the main spheres of activity; • confirms the decisions as to the expulsion from the members of the AUC and creation of new regional departments; • forms the Board; • elects the President; • confirms the Vice-presidency; • elects the Inspection Commission; • confirms annual budget. The Board is the Supreme Body of the AUC within the sessions of National Council. The members of the Board are the President, Vice-Presidents - the Heads of the Sections, Regional Departments, Unions of the AUC and the Vice-President on the executive work. The members of the Board are elected for the period of two years. The President of the AUC is elected by secret ballot for the period of two years, without the right to be re-elected. Vice-Presidents are elected for the term of two years. Vice-President on the executive work is confirmed by National Council and is elected for the period of two years. He can not be the plenipotentiary of the AUC member. Vice-President on the executive work can make instruction as to the disposal of the AUC means, act as a coordinator of executive, scientific, methodological, consultative and administrative bodies and structures of the AUC; he is the Head of the Executive Board. The Executive Board is the executive and administrative body of the AUC. The personnel of the Board is employed through the decision of the Board on the contract basis. At the moment the AUC is concentrated on the increase of the number of regional departments, it assists to their formation and registration, provides methodological and material assistance. Today the Association is represented by 16 regional departments.
