FEBRUARY 9,    an AUC Analytical Center expert took part in the working meeting of the Committee to discuss the Draft Law “On Amending the Law of Ukraine “On Public Procurement” (concerning the purchase of document for library stocks) (#9515). The purpose of the document is to improve the situation with the library stock.

The AUC came up with a suggestion to abolish the requirement to hold tenders while purchasing books, periodical publications and other literature for libraries. This procedure was introduced in 2010 and has a negative impact on putting together the library stock and purchases of literature.  The Draft Law reflects the AUC opinion and was supported by the Committee.
