January 19-20,    the Project conducted a working meeting of the AUC Local Government Land Relations Professional Group. The meeting participants were represented by directors land departments of local councils.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the priorities for amendments to the legislation regulating land relations.

In particular, the participants discussed the following topics:

     - Draft Law “On Amending Certain Pieces of Legislation of Ukraine Concerning the Delineation of Boundaries of State-Owned and Communally-Owned Lands” (#9495);

     - Order of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction of Ukraine «On Approving the Procedures for Placing Temporary Premises for Commercial Activities” (#244).

Following the discussions, the participants came up wit their suggestions to the current legislation in the area of land relations.  The participants also shared their experience in managing land relations, such as:

• Identification of boundaries of nature and recreational lands;
• city land inventory;
• introduction of geographic information systems in the course of setting up land plot and property databases.
