Volodymyrets municipality is located in the northern part of Rivne Region, within the Ukrainian Polissia area. Covering 701.5 km² and comprising 22 settlements, it is one of the largest communities in the region. The municipality has a strategic location near the city of Varash and the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant, providing access to skilled labour, economic cooperation opportunities, and regional transport networks.
The municipality has significant natural and economic potential. Forests cover nearly 60% of the territory, creating favourable conditions for sustainable forestry, wood processing, biomass production, and the development of green industries. The municipality also has substantial water resources, including unique lakes, rivers, and wetlands, as well as deposits of peat, sapropel, amber, and construction materials.
Volodymyrets municipality offers opportunities for investment in renewable energy, agro-processing, forestry, logistics, tourism, and municipal infrastructure. A designated 16-hectare Greenfield investment site is available for business development projects. The municipality is committed to energy efficiency, climate resilience, and sustainable resource management.
The municipality is home to valuable natural heritage sites, including the Khynotskyi Botanical Reserve, which is part of the Emerald Network of Europe. The historic Krasicki Palace and Park Complex, the only preserved palace complex of its kind in the Polissia region, provides a strong foundation for cultural tourism and heritage-based development.
Volodymyrets municipality actively implements strategic planning, digital governance, and recovery initiatives aligned with Ukraine’s European integration process.
