The municipality`s main waterway is the Ros River, known for its picturesque cliffs and granite outcrops.

The historical events come alive at the city's Historical and Cultural Preserve, where visitors can explore the elegant 19th-century Lopukhin-Demidov Palace, examine artifacts at the Battle Museum, and admire traditional craftsmanship at the Folk Art Museum and Gallery. Each site preserves the layered history of this remarkable Ukrainian town.

The economy and landscape are shaped by its rich natural resources. Abundant granite and gneiss deposits support the local construction industry, while the extensive pine and oak forests offer recreational opportunities and potential for ecotourism. Fertile black earth soils form the basis of the region's thriving agricultural sector, producing abundant harvests of grain and other crops. Together, these natural assets create both economic value and scenic beauty

The city's economy is supported by a diverse mix of agriculture and industry. Fertile fields provide an abundance of grain, industrial crops and fruit, while local granite quarries and woodworking companies utilise the region's natural resources. Food processing plants add value to agricultural production. Strategic transport links, including a key railway station on the Kyiv–Znamianka line and regional motorways, ensure the efficient movement of goods and connect the city to national markets.

Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi is a centre for culture, preserving ancient traditions through vibrant folk festivals and skilled craftsmanship in embroidery, pysanky (decorated Easter eggs), and pottery. The town attracts visitors with its compelling historic sites, including Cossack landmarks and WWII memorials, set amidst picturesque landscapes along the Ros River. Nature enthusiasts enjoy kayaking, forest trails, and authentic green tourism experiences that showcase the region's natural beauty and rural charm.

Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi has promising investment potential, particularly in agricultural processing, cultural tourism, and sustainable construction projects. The combination of natural beauty, historical significance, and living traditions creates a solid foundation for distinctive tourism branding. With opportunities for urban renewal and housing construction, the city is well positioned to grow while supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) and preserving its authentic character.
