Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Ivanivka municipality, located 14 km from Chernihiv, benefits from an advantageous logistical position along the M-01 Kyiv–Chernihiv–Novi Yarylovychi international highway. Uniting 17 localities with over 6,400 residents, it offers a highly favourable environment for investment, logistics, and entrepreneurship.
The municipality’s economy relies on agriculture, woodworking, trade, and services, utilising fertile land, forest resources, and proximity to the Desna River for agro-processing and green tourism. Proximity to the regional centre ensures strong labour access, while vacant municipal land plots and industrial premises provide immediate greenfield and brownfield opportunities.
Following its de-occupation, the local administration approved a formal Programme for the Comprehensive Restoration of the Municipality Territory, establishing strategic priorities for infrastructure modernisation, housing, energy efficiency, and security solutions.
With a proven track record of managing donor funds alongside partners like UNDP, the EU, U-LEAD, IOM, CIVIC, ISAR Ednannia, and USAID, the municipality demonstrates high institutional capacity. Backed by active civic networks, youth spaces, and veteran initiatives, it ensures a transparent, participatory, and sustainable environment for international development projects.
