Additional peculiarities of the municipality
Mena municipality is one of the largest municipalities in Chernihiv region, located in the northern part of Ukraine, on the banks of the Mena and Desna rivers. The area of the municipality is 1,026.1 km². Important transport arteries pass through the territory of the municipality - the Chernihiv - Novhorod-Siverskyi highway and the railway line connecting different regions of Ukraine.
The community includes 39 settlements, united into 17 starosta districts.
Mena municipality is an agricultural territory. At the same time, agricultural processing and industrial production are actively developing in the municipality. Due to its favorable location, the community has significant transit potential and investment attractiveness. The first industrial park in the region, "Mensky", was created here.
Mena municipality also features unique tourist attractions, including the Menskyi Zoo, the Ostretch sanatorium, hotels, and various cultural and historical landmarks. The municipality has a powerful network of libraries and cultural centers.
