Snovsk municipality, located in the northern part of Chernihiv region, occupies a strategic yet challenging border position within the Ukrainian Polissia area. Consisting of 57 settlements administered across 14 starosta districts, the community demonstrated immense resilience by maintaining its administrative functionality following a 36-day military occupation and its subsequent classification as an active combat zone.
The municipality's economic structure is anchored by its vast natural assets, notably extensive forest lands and rich agricultural areas, which support local industries in wood processing, farming, metalworking, and railway transport. Backed by an active entrepreneurial ecosystem where small and medium-sized enterprises employ most of the local workforce, the local council operates under a systematic territorial Development Strategy.
