Vyzyrka municipality covers an area of 419.21 km², which accounts for nearly 8% of the district’s total area. The municipality comprises 19 settlements, with a population of over 10 000 people, 62% of whom are of working age.
The municipality’s key competitive advantage is its strategic location near a seaport and international transport and logistics corridors. A robust industrial zone has been established along the Adzhalyk Estuary within the community’s territory, featuring stevedoring companies and well-developed rail and road infrastructure. There are 433 enterprises, institutions, and organizations of various forms of ownership registered in the municipality.
The municipality’s economy is based on industry, maritime and rail logistics, agriculture, and processing. Significant areas of productive land, proximity to port infrastructure, and an active business environment create favourable conditions for investment and entrepreneurial development. Vyzyrka municipality is among the municipalities with a high level of financial capacity and demonstrates the highest general fund incomes per person in the Odesa region.
Among the municipality’s key investment projects are the creation of a transport and logistics hub, the establishment of modern industrial parks, the development of the Tiligul tourism and recreation cluster, the development of the “Vyzyr” agricultural cluster and the implementation of the large-scale “City of Vyzyr” public housing project. The latter involves the construction of new housing for 35,000 residents, including internally displaced persons, veterans, people who lost their homes due to the war, as well as employees of existing and future community enterprises.
Although Vyzyrka municipality is a rural one, its strategic vision is to raise the socio-economic standard of living of its population to European standards and become one of the growth hubs in Ukraine’s reconstruction. Thus, Vyzyrka is open to cooperation with investors, international financial organizations and donors, offering ready-to-use sites for business development, support from local authorities, modern strategic planning and significant potential for the implementation of economic, social and infrastructure development projects.
